Congratulations to our lucky Wolves FC Shirt Raffle winner, Maryam!

Maryam heard about the raffle after listening to our Head of Fundraising, Lee Newman, being interviewed on BBC Radio WM while she was driving home from work.

Thanks to everyone who purchased tickets for the draw, which raised an amazing £760. This will go straight to helping us provide our vital specialist services for our local communities. Also, a big thank you to M&E Global Resources for gifting us the shirt.

Signed Wolverhampton Wanderer’s Shirt Raffle Terms and Conditions:

This draw is open to all residents of Great Britain (England, Scotland & Wales) over the age of 18, who reply by the closing date. Payments for raffle entries received after the closing date will not be entered and will be treated as a donation to Compton Care. Compton Care employees involved in the processing of the raffle are not permitted to enter.

We will use the personal data you supply to verify your age in accordance with our obligations under our operating licence issued by the Gambling Commission. We have a legal obligation to ensure the people who play and enjoy our lottery and raffle games meet the entry criteria. This means that we may use your personal data for the purposes of carrying out random age verification checks, either from information you have provided Compton Care or from using information available from a range of commercial, public, or open sources such as the edited electoral role.

The prize will not be awarded to anyone who does not meet the above entry criteria. Anyone found entering the draw who does not meet the above conditions will have their stake returned to them where possible, or their stake taken as a donation to the charity if we are unable to return the stake.

The prize will be awarded to the first name drawn at random on 25 July 2024. The winner will be notified within 10 days of the draw date and details of the winning ticket will be published on our website www.comptoncare.org.uk. The winner agrees, at the Promoter’s request, to participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of the prize, free of charge, and they consent to the use of their name and image within Compton Care marketing or promotional materials.

Last financial year (2023/24) income from our lotteries raised over £539,000 for Compton Care’s charitable services. Prize pay outs accounted for 13.6% of the expenses incurred, with other expenses including but not limited to promotion and staffing accounting for 31.8% of the expenses incurred. Our raffles and lotteries are a vital source of income for the charity.

We anticipate selling 200 raffle tickets for this draw, which would give odds of winning the first prize of 1 in 200. Please note that these odds are an estimate only and will vary depending on how many tickets are sold for this draw.

Responsible Gambling:

No more than £100 worth of tickets (20 chances) may be sold to any one individual as part of Compton Care’s commitment to social responsibility.
